MEED Networks Joins the Team of OTT’s Training Delivery Partners

MEED Networks of Abuja, Nigeria is the latest organization to become accredited to deliver Optical Technology Training’s world class certification programs in optical networking.

The local availability of this training comes at an important time for Nigeria as the government invests in rolling out fibre infrastructure throughout the country. The Certified Optical Network Associate program will help to ensure that the government money is well spent through providing key personnel with a good understanding of fibre infrastructure and the optical networking systems that will be used on the project.

Ahmed Atere, MEED Networks COO, attended a professional training program in the UK to be licensed as a trainer to deliver the course. After the program he said “The quality of the training materials and the trainer support package from OTT is fantastic, the design project and the use of WhizzieKit (OTT’s unique Virtual Optical Networking System) really helps trainees to put everything into practice.”

Richard Ednay, Technical Director of Optical Technology Training said “We are very pleased to be working with such a professional partner as MEED Networks to service the market for our training in Nigeria and the wider African marketplace. Working with local partners is the best way to make our certification programs more widely available in a cost-effective manner, without compromising on quality.”

MEED Networks will be delivering the Certified Optical Network Associate (CONA) in Nigeria from November 2019.
